Facilities and Equipment

Marathon Oil will provide field data collection, laboratory measurement, and computational facilities for the project. Major facilities to be provided by Marathon include:

  • Approximately 150 Well Area Geologic and Geophysical Logs
  • Fracture Imaging Log Capabilities (FMS/FMI)
  • Observation Wells (3) with Continuous Surface Readout of Pressure
  • Observation Wells (20) for Gathering Fluid Contact Movement Data
  • ECLIPSE and THERM-DK Dual Porosity, Dual Permeability Heat and Mass Flow Simulators
  • STRATAMODEL 3-D Matrix and Fracture Characterization
  • Sun and HP UNIX Workstations and CRAY Supercomputer Facilities
  • Fracture Aperture Measurement Laboratory Equipment
