Scope of Work: Task 4.3 Technology Evaluation

At the conclusion of this project, the technologies developed will be evaluated quantitatively to determine the benefit of discrete fracture analysis methods, and TAGS fractured reservoir specific production methods.

Task 4.3.1 Site Characterization Evaluation

In this task, the additional costs related to the discrete fracture approach for fractured reservoirs will be assessed by estimation of the additional level of effort required for site characterization when using the discrete fracture approach.

Task 4.3.2 DFN Approach Evaluation

In this task, the additional costs related to discrete fracture approach for fractured reservoirs will be assessed by estimation of the level of effort required in data analysis and modeling according to the discrete fracture approach, as compared to the conventional approach.

Task 4.3.3 Recovery Estimation

In this task, the value of the discrete fracture approach for fractured reservoirs will be assessed by estimation of the differences in recovery which could be expected to result from the use of discrete fracture approaches and TAGS enhanced oil recovery.
