Team: M.I.T. Personnel Qualifications
Violeta Ivanova M.S., Civil
Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of
Technology, 1995.
Civ. Eng., University of Architecture, Civil
Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia, Bulgaria, 1991.
Ms. Ivanova is completing her Ph.D.
dissertation in the Geoenvironment and
Geotechnology group at MIT on "Geologic and
Stochastic Modeling of Fracture Systems in
Rocks". In her research, she developed the
geometric-mechanical 3D
hierarchical model, and studied rock
fracture systems, created by various geologic
mechanisms. Ms. Ivanova has developed a software
on UNIX platform, and applied the numerical model
for simulation of fracture networks in
oil-producing sedimentary rocks in the Yates
Field Unit in Texas.
