| Scope
of Work: Task 2 Technology Development This
task will develop technologies collecting and
analyzing the data necessary for creating
three-dimensional discrete feature reservoir
models. During Task 2, discrete fracture data
analysis procedures will be enhanced to deal
specifically with fractured reservoir data, as
typified by the Yates Field data assembled in
Task 1.1.
- Task 2.1:
Fracture Data Analysis Technology
Discussion:
The goal of this task is to develop technology
for collecting and analyzing the data necessary
for creating three-dimensional reservoir models.
The process of integration of fracture data to
produce an integrated, stochastic discrete
fracture reservoir model is illustrated in Figure 2-3. As this
figure shows, the discrete fracture network
approach requires synthesis of fracture
geometric, geologic, geophysical, and hydrologic
information. Golder Associates has pioneered the
development of integrated procedures for
evaluation of all of the procedures necessary for
evaluation of data and synthesis of discrete
fracture models. Existing procedures are shown
schematically in Figure
2-3.
During Task 2, discrete fracture data analysis
procedures will be enhanced to deal specifically
with fractured reservoir data, as typified by the
Yates Field data assembled in Task 1.1. The
resulting improved technology for
characterization of field fracture and well test
information will be used in the design and
planning for a TAGS process field experiment in
the Yates Field.
